Yet another poem has been accepted for publishing, and this time in a UK-based magazine! Between this and spending the day with Flo, 2009 looks like it will end on a good note, even if I am feeling really icky physically.

1) My AP Literature teacher read my essay out loud to all his classes. He didn't say my name, but a definite majority of people guessed.

My AP Literature class always makes me want to write poetry. Particularly when we're analyzing poetry. (Today we read "Mirror" by Sylvia Plath, a lackluster novelist but one of my favorite poets. I brought the same poem to Creative Writing Club last year.) Even when the poems aren't particularly good, inspiration just arises.

I generally try not to ramble, because I don't want to irritate people. But that doesn't mean I don't want to. This is especially an issue now that everyone's questions of choice are "what colleges are you applying to?" and "what's your major going to be?" I could discuss the former for hours, but really most people don't even want the full list.
